Camron-Stanford House

Camron – stanford house is a stunning example of Victorian architecture located in the heart of Oakland’s grand Lake Merritt district. The house was built by prominent architect John Galen Howard and completed in 1905, for the wealthy lawyer and judge, Dr. Camron-Stanford.

The home is four stories high, with intricate detailing befitting an influential family of the time. The exterior features a wrap-around porch, stained glass windows and intricate spindle work framing many of its entrances. Inside you’ll find soaring ceilings, ornate fireplaces and several stunning original furnishings such as European marble mantels and carved wood paneling.
